When we pray, we join the long list of saints we know, and the great cloud of witnesses gone before us as we long to be fully understood by our God.
Yes, it may be silly to tell Him stuff we know He already knows, but we still do, we need too, we long too.
I had an occasion to talk to my daughter a couple of days ago. I expressed to her again that I cannot imagine living out our Christian lives without experiencing eternal life. Even in the flesh, we can get a glimpse of the glory that awaits.
John 17:3
3 “And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent.
We know each other through conversation, and as old as it may get, my heart cannot imagine this life without knowing God through prayer and His word, and I will say it until I get to know Him fully in glory.
