To God be the Glory

To God be the Glory

Our ultimate reason/result for prayer is the glory of God.

The Christian life does not make sense. Our lives in Christ will confuse and confound us until we give Almighty God His rightful place in our lives, and learn what it means, that He, Jesus the Christ increases while we decrease, and that we are committed to His glory through His will..

Then we will know more and more the peaceful fruit of righteousness, and all the other blessings from God will flow to us and His graces through us because we long to see His glory.

All our trials will take on life-affirming import, and we can agree with George Mueller, “I kiss the hand that afflicts," knowing His love for me and His glory in everything He does.

Warning: This episode is a little longer than normal, if a 40-minute episode is not workable for you, You might break the episode into two pieces. There is a natural break between the Declaration of David and the Prayer of Hezekiah and the New Testament witness of the Declaration of John the Baptizer and The Prayer of Jesus who is the Christ.
