David knew he was in a sincere, real and dynamic relationship with the Lord His God.
The undeniable evidence of the love between the two exudes in every Psalm but it is nowhere more evident than when David cries out at the beginning of his trial with Abimelech:
Psalm 142:4-5: Look to the right and see; For there is no one who regards me; There is no escape for me; No one cares for my soul. I cried out to Thee, O LORD; I said, “Thou art my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.
And then in the victory, David celebrates:
Psalm 34:6-7: This poor man cried and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them. 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.
How about we pray together through Psalm 34?
