Prayer and Providence - Introduction

Prayer and Providence - Introduction

Whether God uses an angel or an earthquake, no power can keep His servants in prison. Neither can any opposition keep His ambassadors from preaching the good news to the salvation of souls.

Genesis 50:20

“And as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive."

One of the most meaningful passages in all of Scripture (not used in this episode). It is only one of the numerous verses, which is absolute gibberish if God is not sovereign and does not exercise His own divine will for His glory and for our good.

We call that exercise Providence. Providence is as Spurgeon says the pillow we lay our heads on amid our deepest trials.

**I didn’t necessarily like splitting the Be Not As the Hypocrites-Matthew 6:5-6 last time, so I left today’s episode intact, you can choose the time you need to stop and begin again when you have more time.
