Our expectation for this episode is twofold:

Malachi 3:6

6 “For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

Hebrews 13:8

Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.

He takes His word seriously, 

Luke 6:26

27 “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

So what?

He listens to our prayers, and amid His answers, He orchestrates the victory over our enemies according to His will. 

In 1984, praying during my battle against my enemy, God brought my days to peace but taught me how to wrestle with our enemies most effectively - through prayer. 

Ultimately, we learn of Him, and our relationship with the Father grows.
