What a gift the word of God is, and every time we read the Bible, go to church, or in any other manner hear the word of God, our inner man thirsts for the word, pay careful attention to our Savior, knows the lesson is for our instruction first of all. The inner man is filled with the joy of conviction and truth.
Food for our souls is the word of God, and it is He who initiates our holy communion with Him.
Thank you, Jesus.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I'll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!"
