God's promises are yes and Amen (I wish I would have thought of that in the episodes!), as well as his appeal, to pray those promises. His will is mysterious but clear to us. He tells us He will supply and yet instructs in the substance of our prayers to pray for our daily bread. He assures us we are forgiven, and in the same framework for prayer, he included the petition to forgive us our debts, and we have forgiven our debtors.
In His providence of prayer, we at minimum reinforce our faith in His promises and rehearse to our soul's edification, our dependence on Him.
Let us cash the check of His promises and eagerly await their fulfillment.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I'll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!"
