Pastor Ryle told us on October fourteenth:
The 119th Psalm is full of things asked, 'according to thy word.'
Today, we are riffing off Psalm 119 and the verses which call out "according to Thy word."
Let our souls be excited by all the promises we have in His word to:
Calm our weariness Psalm 119:25
Be strengthened in our sorrows. Psalm 119:28
Be energized by His lovingkindnesses, remembering our salvation. Psalm 119:41
Pleading for grace for ourselves and our loved ones. Psalm 119:58
Rehearsing He has dealt well with us Psalm 119:65
He is the God of all comfort. Psalm 119:76
Momentum in our affliction. Psalm 119:107
Sustaining power in the face of all hardship, empowered by our hope. Psalm 119:116
Knowing if God is for us, who can be against us Psalm 119:154
He gives us wisdom and understanding through His word. Psalm119:169
Our overcoming hope is through our supplications in times of trouble. Psalm 119:170
He is indeed Yahweh Yireh, our God, who supplies all we need for life and godliness.
"What a man is on his knees before God, that he is and nothing more."
