I have often heard, “If God is so good, why doesn’t He answer every prayer yes?
Most of those same parents who have accused the goodness of God undermine themselves instinctively when they keep the stove, knives, poisons under the sink, etc., et al. from their young children.
We also know we cannot become the useful servants of God without our iron, selfish hearts being softened.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I'll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!"
