Today, we will hear just one sentence from Ryle, and then shortly why only one sentence, but first a word from our Savior:
"Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart,"
Luke 18:1
Ryle urges us to do the same.
"I commend to you the importance of perseverance in prayer. Once having begun the habit, never give it up."
And
Our avoidances say we "Neglect your soul."
(That's two, but I could have improved at Maths.)
Two Truths and no Lie:
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16
"He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."
John 1:11-13
Brethren, we are commended to the God who loves us, sought us, and tells us in no uncertain terms that we should always pray and not faint.
Let's pray and pray for one another.
"What a man is on his knees before God, that he is and nothing more."
