I had a professor in college who used to stop from time to time and quip, “If I could get this concept into Fred’s head, I’d have it in a nutshell.”
So it is no surprise that it took me this long to realize Deuteronomy 6:4 says:
4 “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! 5 “And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
Is a call to a relationship with the God of Moses, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
The need for communication with our beloved holds sway in every true relationship.
Once again, we are called to seek Him who our soul loves:
I must arise now and go about the city; In the streets and in the squares I must seek him whom my soul loves.’
