Mid-Week Review 2: Just Talk to God

Matthew 11:28-30

28 "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29 "Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30 "For My yoke is easy, and My load is light."

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7 casting all your anxiety upon Him because He cares for you.

It is hard to believe that these calls from the Holy God of the universe, our Savior, do not include our communication with Him. We call that prayer, and one of the greatest things we can do for our prayer lives is to take the pressure off ourselves and just talk to our loving God, who shed His blood on our behalf.

He will be glorified, our souls will be comforted, and we will be blessed with a glimpse of eternal life while we await our everlasting union with Him.

Jeremiah 33:

' Call to Me, and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'

Amongst the "great and mighty things," I believe, is the close relationship we understand as come to Him in sincere prayer.
