Praying “Thy will be done” with discernment means we understand job one in God’s present economy is the building of His kingdom.
Discernment also teaches us that we begin with ourselves as we do with the rest of the Sermon on the Mount.
We are each gifted by the Holy Ghost to be not only a part of the Body of Christ but an active part of the Body of Christ.
We are called to do His will through the exercise of those gifts from the Holy Spirit. If you are not aware of your gifting, pray for insights from the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. If you know your gifting, pray the power and discernment to do the work you have been called to do with fervent devotion, brotherly love, honor to our brothers and sisters, and with perseverance.
The coup de gracie, as Bugs might say, we are to be devoted to prayer.
Prayer gives us the power to do His will, and when we do, everyone in the body is built up in love, and we are maturing into “the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ.
