God is THE person; all personhood came from God, and as we are created in His image:
We know He has a plan, and He has a purpose for all of His creation. This is why we know, as witnessed by the Holy Spirit in us, the deep and great love of God, and Romans 8:28-30
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; 30 and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
This is why, therefore, we know our Lord and Savior cannot be manipulated, cajoled, or tricked out of His will.
We face victory and defeat with the same faith:
Habakuk 3:18
…I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
