Jesus Teaches Prayer: Be Not As the Hypocrites-Matthew 6:6

Jesus Teaches Prayer: Be Not As the Hypocrites-Matthew 6:6

Matthew 6:6

“But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.

Our inner room should be surrounding us whenever and wherever we pray. Sincerity, integrity, and purpose characterize our prayers, the subject of our prayers, and the intent of our prayers also gives credence to our supplications. Jesus Himself prayed very often with more than one goal, including a goal for everyone listening.

In John 11, He also prayed to strengthen His hearer’s faith, and in John 17, His high priestly prayer was also intended in part to give us strength and full joy.

When we pray in public with integrity and real purpose for the glory of God and the accomplishment of His will, you will edify your hearers every time.

Tech Thing:

This is a straight continuation from the Jesus Teaches Prayer: Be Not As the Hypocrites-Matthew 6:5 episode. It picks up where we left off.

Late in the episode, I quote John 17:23, but I say the reference is from John 17:3.
