Jesus Teaches Prayer: Ask, Think, Knock (Revisit Introduction)

Jesus Teaches Prayer: Ask, Think, Knock (Revisit Introduction)

The word of God is:

12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12-13

Attesting to that truth is Matthew 7:7-12. Is Jesus telling us to ask, seek and knock, in prayer until we know we have the answer?

Or, as some have taught, is this a salvation passage, asking, seeking, and knocking with urgency until you know Jesus as your Savior.

Or, even are the first five verses of the passage the illustration of verse 12?

"Therefore, however you want people to treat you, so treat them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 7:12

Hmmm, it should be an exciting couple of weeks as we get to the bottom of all this. (I hope)

And since He bids me seek His face,

Believe His Word and trust His grace,

I'll cast on Him my every care,

And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!"
