John 11:40
Jesus *said to her, “Did I not say to you, if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
Coming amid the death of Lazarus, the great sorrow of his sisters, and the confused faces of the disciples. In this maelstrom of sickness, death, grief, fear, and the lessons in faith for them all.
The disciples, Mary and Martha, and even the crowds wondered at the delay, actions, and words of Jesus. Yet, in a moment, they would see the glory of God in a way none of them could have imagined.
The promise is not a perfect life but an abundant one. One anchored in the person and promises of our Savior. A life guided by 1 Corinthians 10
31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
My beloved friends, and my beloved children, I don’t know what you are going through or will go through. Still, I do know if you live and are resolute to listen and believe, what Jesus says about this life, and you will see the glory of God, which will bring you, joy, purpose, contented in His grace, courage to do His will, and faith which carries us through every circumstance in our lives.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I'll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!"
