Devotional 118 - Season 7 - Respectful Conversation - My Dad

I realize when we have episodes like our last one on Job being humbled by God, and I stress the need to come to Him in humility (I realize it because I have been asked) that I assert over and over that prayer is talking to God., so why stress our humble demeanor in prayer?

Today, I use my loving, gentle, earthly dad as an example.

As a great and open relationship we had, I did not talk to my dad like I talked to my peers. Not at all!

So as we consider our earthy respect, and our close as it is relationship with our Holy Father:

"Now the main point in what has been said is this: we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, 2 a minister in the sanctuary, and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, not man."

Hebrews 8:1-2

"Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; 29 for our God is a consuming fire."

Hebrews 12:28-29

Our Devotional Meditation:

Must be,

Establish Thy word to Thy servant, As that which produces reverence for Thee."

Psalm 119:38

Approaching our Creator, Savior, and Sustainer with humble respect.
