Closing Episode/Prayer of 2020 Part 3

Closing Episode/Prayer of 2020 Part 3

A significant aspect of the abundant life available to the household of God is the Biblical context in which we can live our lives.

Our God is the Builder and Ruler of all creation.

He is the God who hears.

He is the God of the impossible.

He is the God who shows lovingkindness to all generations.

Our 2021 corporate prayer is based on the above truths; to the end, our lives make sense in the context of eternal life. We will be praying:

We give glory to God.

Luke 1:14

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”

We are ambassadors of Christ, calling our fellow fallen creatures to reconciliation with Holy God through the Christ, Jesus from Nazareth.

2 Corinthians 5:20-21

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Even in this season:

2 Corinthians 4:7-10

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

Our focus will be the splendor of our God and His eternal purposes:

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

That 2021 will be a year of victory in the spread of the true Gospel.

To the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be all honor and glory and dominion forever and ever, Amen.
