I got a little carried away, because:
2 Corinthians 5
18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
(We have no basis or right to hold the trespasses of the people around us against them, the Church, God’s people, we are called to the word of reconciliation,)
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
We pray for:
lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
Jesus came to seek that which was lost.
His heart is revealed in Scripture, that is why we long for and work toward a biblical prayer life.
All our Scripture quotes are drawn from the NASB 1977 edition.
