You cannot be absorbed in the Book of Psalms and not be overwhelmed by the dynamic nature of the relationship between God and His people they portray.
We are meant to have the same dynamic prayer life as David.
The clearest example of God speaking to His people is the New Testament quoting the Old Testament.
It is if both James and Peter while exhorting us to humility, say; “Don’t just listen to me, listen to God, as He says ‘I am opposed to the proud, but give grace to the humble.’”
