Affirming Our Purpose: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Soul Satisfying Prayer 5

Affirming Our Purpose: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made Soul Satisfying Prayer 5

To be fit for God’s purpose, Moses had to overcome, fear, fear of being the deliverer of Israel, and his natural weakness, Samson had to be enslaved, blinded and humiliated before God’s will became more important than his desires, and John the Baptist had to overcome his doubts over Jesus, even sending disciples to make sure He was the Messiah.

Each, however, had been fearfully and wonderfully made. They were knit in the womb to be exactly the raw material God needed. The Holy God of the universe creates each of us to be exactly who we are, and then brings us to reconciliation, followed by training and apprenticeship to accomplish His purposes for His kingdom and glory.

David knew from his intimate walk with God, that his days were ordained by Holy God, therefore he called out in worship and wonder, “How precious also are Thy thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with Thee.”

Rest and pray my beloved family, God made you exactly who He wants you to be, and He is molding you to conform into the image of His Son and use you for His kingdom and His glory.

In prayer, our souls are satisfied with the complete goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

All our Scripture quotes are drawn from the NASB 1977 edition.
